Dana McClanahan Janis

Dana McClanahan Janis has been practicing law since 2008, when we graduated from Texas A&M Wesleyan Law School. Originally from Dallas, she moved to The Woodlands in 2018. It has been a pleasure working in such a beautiful community. 

Although Dana had previously practiced in multiple areas of law, after going through their own divorce, Dana realized that her true calling was to serve others in the field of family law.  Since then, Dana has been practicing family law with great enthusiasm! They find that the satisfaction and gratification of helping someone navigate their family law issues is unmatched to practicing anything other than family law. Dana started at De Ford Law Firm in August 2023. 

Dana finds great pleasure in helping and guiding her clients through the challenging times that come with family law. Dana’s ultimate goal is for them to make informed decisions about their cases and ensure they feel supported as they transition themselves, and their families, into the next new chapter of life. 

When she’s not practicing law, Dana enjoys spending time with their family and being outdoors. Dana is an active member of the Conroe Noon Lions Club and serves on the board for Tackle Life Ministries. Dana is also working on a guidebook in her free time that will help inform and educate people about the legal process, especially during a divorce.
